What Makes Mo Bad K9s Stand Out?

Dogs are not all the same, meaning every training plan is different. At Mo Bad K9s, we care about the wellbeing of each dog as an INDIVIDUAL and curate a training plan that is specific to each dog and their needs. We care about how the dog FEELS before asking them for more and putting them through pressure. The improved behavior comes as a byproduct.

Balanced Training

No case is too severe: each dog is different. while some may thrive off of solely positive reinforcement, some may need an extra nudge to get there. I work with open minded owners that are receptive to several different tools and their versatilities, so long as they follow instructions and use them as advised. Being fair to the dog is always priority #1.

Leading By Example

Calm and decisive is easier said than done. The key is to think like a dog. Per my own journey, no one is more understanding of that than me, I've learned the hard ways so you don't have to. Getting you there may require a learning curve, plus a set of skills and stations. We control the pace, and with fairness to the dog will achieve your goal by any means necessary.

Respect for the Animal

What is more important than understanding the dog is to communicate that the dog feels understood (heard, felt, seen, etc.) On the other end of that, we need to understand that dogs are opportunists by nature, and at their very core, rely on us for structure and guidance. A lot of issues can fly under the radar because of how we've been taught to objectify our pets. Society leads us to believe that dogs are accessories, stuffed animals we can cuddle, coddle and cater to in a humanizing way and at our own leisure with little to no consequences.

This couldn't be further from the truth. If you're open to embarking on this journey and ask yourself the difficult question, "Am I, the human, trainable?" We may be a good fit.
